“One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world.”
― Malala YousafzaiI Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and Was Shot by the Taliban

This is a quote that moved me when I was preparing my practicum book ( the book that collected the sum up of my view and experience in Education in that stage) as an undergraduate. In a period that was full of stress, this made me realize the importance and power of education in changing the world and I was convinced then that I want to be a part of this and I want to change the lives of people with my knowledge.

“With guns you can kill terrorists, with education you can kill terrorism.”
― Malala Yousafzai

Another Malala quote... You will see that I'm very affected by her and her journey. She speaks words that just seem to suit our reality especially when we are a part of the middle east where terrorism is a characteristic that is always thrown at us...

" You have to go wholeheartedly into anything in order to achieve anything worth having."
_ Unknown

This is something I follow with everything I do. Before doing anything, I should be convinced with it from the bottom of my heart so that I can give it my best. Be it in any thing, in my work, my education, or any other decision, if I'm not fully pleased with it, I will not be dedicated nor creative. So always follow your heart in whatever you do.

"They may forget your name, but they will never forget how you made them feel."
_ Maya Angelou

From the day I've started teaching, I've kept this sentence in my mind. Besides being a teacher, I'm the kind of person who always tries to keep a good impression or memory, so how can I be anything different than that with my students? My little innocent cheeky students? I just love them and I try my best to leave a good memory of me in their mind. It doesn't mean that I'm a non assertive teacher, I just take into consideration their age, feelings, and circumstances. My goal is to make them feel better about themselves not the opposite, and the way I do so is what  matters.

"Every child you pass in the hall has a story that needs to be heard. Maybe you are the one meant to hear it."
_ Bethany Hill

The more I put quotes the more I realize how much concerned I am with the emotional and psychological aspect of the children's lives. I think this brings out the counselor in me... Who knows?? I know very much how some stories can affect students and their performance. Sometimes they only need a hand, a small light that will reach out and grabs them from the darkness. Imagine you being this hand, how overwhelming it would be if you were able to change a person's life to the better, and see the sparkle in their eyes again. I can tell that there is no better feeling, I hope I can experience it throughout my whole journey.
